Your Year for Clarity and Purpose

Maria Bradfield

Can you feel the excitement in the air? It's a brand-new year, a clean slate full of endless possibilities just waiting for you to seize them! Today, I want to equip you with the tools and mindset necessary to make this year your best yet.

Well wait a minute. It’s already mid-January and based on the conversations I have had, some of you are still just waking up and realizing it’s a New Year.  So, my friends I am going to be doing a lot of repeating in this episode but with a different tone than last week.

The messages always remain the same.  Perhaps you just need to hear it a little differently. Studies have demonstrated that we need to hear things 8 times before it sinks in.  I promise I won’t do that.

Before we dive in, take a moment to envision your dream life. What does success mean to you? What do you truly desire? Close your eyes and let that vision come to life.

Now, let's make that vision a reality!

Step 1: Cultivate Clarity

Clarity is like a lighthouse guiding your ship through stormy seas. It's crucial to know where you want to go before charting your course. Take some time to reflect on your values, passions, and goals. What truly matters to you? What ignites your soul?

Here are a few questions to think about as you gain clarity.

1.   What do you absolutely feel certain about in your life right now?

2.   What do you value most in life right now?

3.   Do you feel clear about who you are and what’s important?

4.   Here’s my favorite question.  If I asked you to mentor someone, what would you say to them on how you became successful?

Here's a tip: Journaling can be a powerful tool for gaining clarity. Write down the answers to the questions, jot down your dreams, aspirations, and what success looks like to you. Don't hold back, my friend. Dream big and let your imagination soar!

Step 2: Define Your Purpose

Once you have clarity, it's time to uncover your purpose. Your purpose is your North Star, the driving force behind everything you do. It's the reason you wake up each morning, filled with enthusiasm and determination.

To discover your purpose, ask yourself: What brings me joy? What am I passionate about? How can I make a difference in the lives of others? Remember, your purpose doesn't have to be grandiose. Even the smallest acts of kindness can have a profound impact.

Here's an example of mine...
